For over thirty years, Hobo's Hut SnoBalls has been the quiet pleasure on a hot Many afternoon — hand-shaved ice, house-made syrups, and a warmth that has nothing to do with the weather.
Our Story
Hobo's Hut SnoBalls began as a simple idea in the quiet town of Many, Louisiana — that a sno-ball should never be an afterthought. While the world rushed toward convenience, we chose the opposite: shave each block by hand, mix syrups in small batches, and serve every cup with the kind of attention you'd expect from someone who actually remembers your name.
Thirty years later, the recipe hasn't changed. Neither has the feeling of walking up to that counter on a July afternoon and knowing, without a doubt, that something good is about to happen. We are not a chain. We are not a franchise. We are the place where the syrup is made in the back room and the ice is sharp enough to hear.
The Menu
Every sno-ball is shaved to order. Every syrup is chosen with care. There are no shortcuts here — only the ones you take to get to us.
Fine-shaved ice, densely packed, drowned in your choice of syrup. The original. The only one that matters on a ninety-degree day.
Mixed in small batches behind the counter. From the expected — strawberry, grape, blue raspberry — to the ones that make people come back just to try them.
Choose your vessel. A crisp cone for the brave, a cup for the deliberate. Both come with the same generous scoop and the same sharp ice.
Mix syrups. Add toppings. Tell us what you're craving — we've been doing this long enough to know how to make it happen.
